No. Lurk never logs in to Instagram as you and never interacts with the accounts you watch. Nothing about Lurk is visible to them — no views, no follows, no notifications.

We only trust complete data. A check counts only if it returns at least 98% of the account's following list; partial results are thrown away. An unfollow is reported only after it shows up in two complete checks in a row (or the following count drops to match), so a glitchy fetch never produces a fake unfollow. Times are shown as the window between two checks — we don't pretend to know the exact minute.

No one can honestly offer real-time. Lurk runs frequent checks — every hour on Weekly, every 2 hours on Monthly and every 3 hours on Yearly — and alerts you as soon as a check finds a change. An account whose following count hasn't changed for 2 days is checked half as often until it changes again; the check that sees a change puts it straight back on your plan's schedule.

No. Lurk only uses information that's already public. If an account is private, we'll tell you before you add it, and we never try to work around privacy settings.

Never. Watching public accounts needs no login at all. For “My account”, you download your own data from Instagram and upload the ZIP — it's read in your browser, and only the username lists reach our servers.
